“I wish I had realized that family history is a perishable commodity. It disappears with time, as memories fade, and as loved ones pass on. I wish I had known that the most important aspect of family history is preserving a record of the present for the future.” - Guy Black

My name is Hollie Stokes and I'm a natural light, family documentary photographer in Tulsa, Oklahoma and the surrounding areas. Wife and mother of three, my passion is storytelling and photography.  Whether written or visual, I've always gravitated towards stories. I yearn to capture genuine, real and honest moments of motherhood and childhood. As well as the details that make this time so sweet.

Being completely honest, when I first picked up a camera my only intention was to tell my family's story. As a new mother, it was very sobering to realize how quickly my little ones grew. They're only mine for a short while. Eventually they are going to move out of my home and raise families of their own. My goal then, as it is now; is to compile a collection of visual memories and stories that can transport me and my loved ones back to a specific place in time. A place that unlocks nostalgia. Feeling the moment as if we were there again. Never in my wildest of dreams would I have believed this passion and deep seeded driving force of mine would turn into the desire to gift it to other families.

My gift is the art of making time stand still for you and your loved ones. Motherhood and Childhood are both sacred and fleeting. I'm certain that somewhere in the distant future, I'm running my worn, aged hands over these memories and thanking myself. Why not you too?
